Nussbaum Pen Co. Announcement

Hi FPN Members:

We are pleased and excited to announce the launching of Nussbaum Pen Co.

These pens can only be purchased at this time from www.isellpens.com. We have 2 initial models the Phoenix and Jon Ross. Supplies are limited. So, be one of the first to own a Nussbaum Pen and several have already been sold today.

More new models to follow as well as a really cool lower end pen made in the same factory as a very famous German pen but it will not be like these beautiful introductory models we just released.

I would like to thank the members who suggested this name and gave opinions on a previous thread. Shipping is free on the Phoenix model in the USA.

Thanks for supporting our pen line and our website!

Best Regards,

Todd & Theresa Nussbaum

Are the nibs standard German ie Jowo or Bock? They look great by the way. Will these colors continue to be stocked or are they a limited edition run?

We are using WIN German Fountain pen nibs. These colors may be a L.E. run but that could change.

Gorgeous pens! I'm especially liking the cracked ice. Any plans of releasing these with nibs other than medium?

I too am wondering about nib options. A 1.1mm stub?

Quoting the page for the Phoenix pen, "...The pen comes with a Medium point Iridium point nib that lays down a nice wet smooth line. Note: other nib option may be available in the future."

Perhaps Todd can shed more light on this subject?

Tasteful designs but no close-up of the nib. What is engraved or stamped on the nib? Is the nib laser etched or stamped?

Nibs are friction fit on the Jon Ross version and can be removed as nib and feed are not one unit. Nib is a #5. It’s stamped Iridium Point Germany M . The Phoenix model is a #12 and also friction fit. At this point I am not offering nib options.

The pens do indeed look very nice, Todd.

Like others, I, too, wish that you offered a choice of nibs, not just medium, but perhaps that is something that you will be able to do in the future.

I hope that Nussbaum Pen Co. is very successful.

Really nice looking pens at a great price. I hope you do well with these.

I think there might be an oversight in that the John Ross pens say they include the 2 pen pouch.

Do they include it ? If so, then they are an even better bargain.

I picked up the Cracked Ice Phoenix for a graduation gift, so I cannot ink it up! But it looks beautiful and the pen case is an EXCELLENT idea, rather than a box! Am tempted to buy a Joe Ross

Hmm, I didn't see what you saw apparently. I see that the double pen pouch is included with the more expensive Phoenix series pens, but the Jon Ross pen descriptions only say it comes with a "leather pen slip."

I hope graduation day isn't too far away! I, for one, would like to hear what you think of how the pen writes.

I agree, including a leather pen slip or pouch with the pens instead of a probably-never-again-used box is a great idea! Kudos to Todd and Theresa for this. :)

The White Mountain pen is really pretty. I too will however wait for more nib choices - EF in my case. How much do you expect shipping to Europe will be?

I've never heard of the nib maker WIN before, all I can find is that they're in the former DDR. With that kind of name, Google isn't of much help...

Sorry the Jon Ross pens do not say that.

The Jon Ross comes with a Leather Pen slip that’s made in the USA and this is different than the Phoenix model.

Our Phoenix model a more expensive model has upgraded packaging a little bonus for buying the higher end.

The Nussbaum’s do not believe in wasting materials such as boxes that end in the trash. So, in it’s place for packaging will be an embossed Nussbaum Pen double pen pouch that can be used to protect the pen and enjoy for many years.

Best Regards,

Todd

Thanks Holly and that is correct. That's our opionion of wasteful boxes. We have shared it with other pen manufacturers who have just ignored this and continue to spend more on the box and in some cases as much as the pen.

It just depends on what else you order and how you would like it shipped and you can always email me once you get closer to ordering.

Yesterday, it did say that. Like Hex, I thought it was a mistake.

I must correct you as it never said that. If I made a mistake I would by all means admit it.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
