Hello pandeyji

I own a Twsbi Vac 700. I bought it a month ago from a website www.purepens.co.uk

but you can find it very easily on Ebay India too. I bought this pen for Rs 10, 000 (It was a package).

Vac 700 have one of the largest ink capacities available in the market. Performance wise it performs

pretty good but the main feature of the pen is the vacuum ink filling mechanism.

Hoping that the above information have cleared some of your doubts.

Bye

I've ordered mine off the Goulets and from thewritingdesk.co.uk.

Ink capacity is fantastic. But while my Micarta and 540 ROC write really well (the ROC is inked up right now, actually), the 700 was a complete POS - very dry, skipping a lot. The 540 wrote well the first time around, albeit just a little drier than ideal... and the next time I inked it, it was also a very dry writer with hardly any ink coming into the feed.

Both were sent back to TWSBI for repairs.

Hi akz_001,

Does the pen ship easily from UK stores to India? Did you have to pay customs and if yes, was it hassle free?

I am planning to order a TWSBI Diamond 580 from cultpens

It is easy to get from the UK - < Rs 10k, usually there is no customs.

I have used TWSBI 540 and VAC both. TWSBI 540 has some serious quality issue like intermittent cracking of section etc. It is costly in India; Pensavenue.com are the authorized retailer of TWSBI in India. In my personal opinion, if you are planning to spend anything between INR 7000 to 8000 I guess you can consider Pilot Custom Heritage 92 instead. You can contact Raul of wancher pens who are the counter part of Engeika in India for this.

I got a TWSBI mini from Goulet pens. Shipping via ordinary post to Mumbai took 8 weeks and a customs duty was charged, which was unusual in my opinion.

Completely agree with @maverink.

But if you are located in Mumbai you can get a 580 Diamond from Shukla Pen Mart (fort) at INR 4500 (~ USD 75)

I have all twsbi models..

All purchased from fontoplumo.nl

Out of all those I like ECO and VAC the best..

You can apply code sbrebrown on their website to get 10% off... And purchase above 125 gets you free shipping, traceable one...

All the pens are amazing value for money and performers..

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
