My Aunt has asked me to look at my late Uncle’s fountain pens - and these are a few more of them.

I am not an expert in any way but can see that these are "Waterman" pens ( I have a magnifying glass!)

We have a red leather case for the two pens (not sure if they were sold with the case or if this was separate

The pens weigh 54g (together) and are both 130mm long with the cap on

They have gold coloured trim.

As with the rest of his pens I don’t think these have been used for several years (5+) and as I am not a fountain pen expert I can’t really comment too much on their quality. However I can’t see any scratches on the pen

The trim is engraved with “WATERMAN FRANCE” on the ring

Any thoughts on the model references, approx age and value?

Thanks

Richard

They are Laureats, a FP and RB. Rounded clip tops indicate late models. The pouch could be Waterman but I think they embossed theirs with a W. Not sure if it's the light but the RB's tip looks a bit odd.

The RB is a Waterman Fine Roller Pointe Metal 95

I think its the picture that makes it look odd.

Any idea of year? Do they look in good condition?

I suspect the year to be 2000 or 2001 onwards. Without them in hand I cannot answer for their condition. If you are selling them I sugest you use a magnifying glass to get a good look at the nib, gold plate and lacquer then describe what you see. If you troll through ebay 'completed' listings you will find realistic, current, prices. Not forgetting thet red pouch is nice and could make £15 to £20 alone. You have to be very careful with leather pouches because if they are stored in the damp, the pens metalwork can corrode.

The cartridge wasn't sitting well inside the pen - have sorted it now.
