Hi Guys,

Yesterday was my birthday and I finally decided to buy this diamond for myself as a birthday/christmas present. So I went to the pen shop around 12 pm. and picked up the pen on the table and start to talk with the dealer. He was so nice to me altough I was there for the 3rd time to see the pen. I asked him for another free ink which he accepted. So I took my new Extra and leave the shop. Now I took some pictures which I would like to share with you. :clap1: Please suggest some inks maybe green will be nice to me for the first shot :roflmho:

Nice pen. Hope you love it. Diamine makes several really nice green inks that might work well with that pen, maybe their Green Black, Dalamere or Woodland Green.

Wow, what a beauty!
Can you get Standardgraph inks where you live? It looks like their Reed Green would be a close to perfect match for the green details on your pen.

That is a lovely pen. Personally, I would choose a nice, rich, black ink for the first time around, probably Aurora. I realize that's not very original, but it is very black and that's what counts.

Also: a like the strategy you used with the seller. As a variation, next time try offering to pay for the ink and see if he'll throw in a nice pen.

Lovely extra  You will love the way it writes ;) I enjoy mine a lot and look for another 1930 extra in second hand.

Thnx

I can get MB inks , Pelikan edelstein , Caran Dache , Waterman , J Herbin, also I can find Diamine from another city but they dont have all the greens. My options for Diamine are Ultra Green, Green Black , Emerald , Teal.

I also search the colour that you recommend I really like the colour so maybe I can find it in the future

Let me tell you the story...before the extra I was planning to buy Omas Paragon in the first place then I find Mogdalini then I see Miya Turqoise. After all one day I decided to go to a watch dealer who sells montblanc pens and montegrappa pens. I didnt know what I was gonna find there. I entered the store and there were about 5 montegrappa pens left. At that moment I saw the extra ( I saw this pen at novelli site a long time ago but it was expensive ). The dealer told me that they will stop selling Montegrappa and continue with MB. Thats why they have 5 pens. So I asked him to grab the extra and the yellow duetto miya. From that moment I was very impressed by the extra. The colours, the feeling of touch to celluloid, the nib :puddle:
So I make some researchs on FPN the owner reviews and I decided to get it as a birhtday present to myself :clap1:

I would like to see your review of this pen after six - twelve months. It looks like a very nice pen I would consider in the future. Your review would be of value.

Thanks for this writeup!

I owe a Bamboo Black too, and love it. It is beautiful, has a fantastic nib and a great design.
The only thing I do not like about this pen is that it takes forever to unscrew the cap!! Impossible to use in meetings...

Otherwise, I am sure you will enjoy it!
