Recently I reviewed the Yongsheng 016 for the first of four reviews, now to get around to the others...

The Crocodile 215

Price: $8.49

This is another metal construction pen with a nice, glossy medium orange finish. There is no cap band, the band sits instead at the base of the section and is black lacquer and gold plate with the crocodile logo circling around it. This is another one of those interesting hooded nibs that the seller calls 'cayman mouth' but unlike the other, this one has two small blue crystals set in the rim of the section just above the hood. Like the others, posting is iffy, they're all clutch caps and the sleeve on the inside doesn't give a very firm grip when you post them.

Comfort - 8/10

A bit on the slim side which is uncomfortable for some but only slightly so for me. I find however that this pen doesn't have as much of a tendency to slide in the grip as the Yongsheng, despite the brushed metal section grip.

Nib - 9/10

Smooth, fine, wet nib. Lays down ink well and with no scratchiness. Not much more to say about this one.

Fit and Finish 9/10

The overall build of this pen is quite nice and seems durable, the only complaint I have is that the cap, when closed, seems to have a little side to side play but all in all, it's a well made pen for the price. The finish and trim are IMHO tasteful and attractive and it certainly isn't too gaudy.

Summary - Buy
I'd buy it again and I'd buy more of them

I started nowhere, ended up back there. I caught a fever and it burned up my blood. It was a pity, I left the city; I did me some travelin' but it's done me no good. - Buffalo Clover "The Ruse"

What an interesting section/nib design. Almost what I'd expect in a rollerball, not a fountain pen.
