BAPCers:

A quick reminder: the next Big Apple Pen Club meeting is this Thursday, December 6th (we meet on the 1st Thursday of every month). Guest speakers are pen luminaries Rick Propas from www.thepenguin.com, David Isaacson, from www.(bleep).com and Mario Campa from www.toysfromtheattic.com. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm and goes to whenever (usually 9:30 or 10:00 pm). Place: 2 Grand Central Plaza on 44th between Lex and 3rd.

As always, new members are welcome, and it would be helpful if prior to attending they emailed me at mtsheehan@gmail.com so I can, among other things, get your name in with building security to ensure a quick access to the meeting room.

Best, Mike

"v a c u m a n i a" is censored for historical reasons. It was before my time, but my understanding is it had something to do with unseemly images hosted there.

Wild BAPC meeting last night with about 30 members in attendance and presentations from handwriting specialist Kaye Gladstone, followed by pen luminaries Mario Campa, from www.toysfromtheattic.com, David Isaacson from www.(bleep).com and Rick Propas from www.thepenguin.com. Rick and Dave walked us through their recent $1 billion purchase of a private collection along with three other members of their "Gang of Five" (check out their Facebook page) and Mario spent time updating us in recent developments in Italian pens. We then attacked Mario in hopes of scooping up some of his fine Italian and vintage offerings. Kapow! What a nite.
