Last Thanksgiving Day, "someone just gobbled" a Sheaffer Black 2nd Edition Connaisseur with a not so common factory broad nib "in only 24 minutes, with 4 people still hungry!" The price was $60.00. That made me even hungrier. Seriously, is there a secret in winning Greg Miniskin's pen lottery? Any tips? I check the site at least twice everyday and never did I chance upon seeing a pen for sale that is still available. They're sold and gone even before I see them. So many nice interesting pens at really good prices that I couldn't buy.:crybaby:

He's definately got a following. I sold him a pen for him to resell and, in a VERY short time, he had 16 people contacting him. I'd suggest quiting your job, drinkin' PLENTY of coffee, and constantly monitoring his sales site.

You know, it's rare to find sensible advice like this on the internet. Usually you hear from crazy obsessives. :)

OK, let me see if I understand this correctly. To buy a restored pen from Greg, one must monitor the the Home page where newly available pens will be advertised (oops, I almost said posted) "religiously", and after paying appropriate homage to the "Pen Gods & Goddesses" , be the recipient of just the correct amount of LUCK  , select the pen as quickly as possible and BUY IT!!!!

Did I get that correct? Certainly hope so. Looks like some good pens - imho!

I find it most frustrating trying to get anything that's up for sale from Greg's website. Perhaps I don't grasp the "spend all day here and maybe you'll get lucky" concept and maybe that is how he wants it. Anyway I will leave it to you more patient folk. He certainly has some awesome goodies and you are indeed lucky to score something from him. I simply don't have the time (no matter how much I wish I did), to watch his website all day long, or week long, in hopes of scoring a gorgeous pen.

If he had a feed, something like IFTTT could be used.

Giving away secrets!

I tried that. But however he uses WordPress, you get a lot of false-positives and repeats. I had it on for about a week, and I did see some pens that hadn't been sold when I looked. But there was too much noise to keep it up for long.
