If dropping from higher than 25 feet it is proper to notify someone as the landing can cause considerable commotion.

I'm planning to bring a "vintage" 32oz bottle of Skrip Permanent Royal Blue to pass around so if you want some bring an ink bottle.

Keep it away from Ricky. He tends to pour ice water over sugar into Blue liquids, quickly stir then drink...

Wow, I'm bummed that I'll miss everyone (ok, and that 32oz bottle!), but a project that has to be finished this weekend is far from done... so I won't be dropping in. :-(

The posse arrived. Food abounded. Hosts were divine. :notworthy1: The posse was sated. Pens were shared and fixed. Ink was distributed. Joy to the world!

Doug and Joanie, thank you so much for an outstanding Pen Posse. I'm exhausted, ha ha ha.

 

Ricky, the Ranga with the flex dip nib is amazing. I've filled it with Platinum Carbon Black and am about to draw the last of the "Cathedral Variations" (#30). Many thanks! I'll let you know about the flow and such -- so far, so good. :-)

Fred, thank you for the T-shirt! The Mother likes hers, too. :-) (It was a great first Pen Posse for The Mother. Of course it was. Duh.)

Great to meet you, Greg (are you on fpn?), and great to see and talk with everyone else. FUN!

 

So much fun. Next one's The Other PPPC -- Saturday, 12/22 (right?). Hooray!

It was fun meeting some for the first time and seeing others again; Doug and Joanie you are gracious and attentive hosts, thanks for opening your home.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
