I was rather flattered to be asked to join the administrative and moderating team here at FPN by Denis and equally flattered that KCat and FC supported that decision.

 

It's been a long time since I moderated or administered a forum but think it will all come back to me... pen folks seem to play nice wherever they gather and I don't see where there would be too much need for anyone to step in too often.

 

We do need at least one more admin here as four is a poor number to have in a democracy... talk to Denis if you think you might be able to lend some of your talents and time to what is a very worthwhile venture.

 

Now I should try and see what all these new buttons do...

Yes indeed, welcome aboard Keith :) I know we will be in good hands when I am asleep :D And as Keith says, we do need more representation. So, if any of you should feel you could be of service to the community, please step forward. But be warn, this is strictly volunteer work. No pay is offered :P

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
