Congratulations!

I think it would be great to have the silhouettes of two birds, one in green and one in purple. Your beautiful penmanship will provide the rest!

Currently using:Too many pens inked to list, I must cut back! :) I can guarantee there are flighters, urushi, and/or Sheaffer Vac-fillers in the mix!!!

Yep, seeing what you have done in the past, I would pretty much trust anything you do.

With all your flexy pens, how about flourishing those birds?

An eye for insignificant details is a good sign you will do just fine in medical school...

As a sharp wit and powerful sarcasm is a sign that you already have.

That is quite some task!

Also, very romantic!

What kind of a look are you going for?

Casual & lighthearted?

Formal & elegant?

Vintage & romantic?

Better start looking at paper NOW! Some orders have a long lead time, as my best friend found when she began hunting for the "right" paper for her parent's surprise anniversary party. :headsmack:

man the suggestion of drawing each bird (like in the bird examples) seems like too much to do 100 times

on the other hand it feels like something more than just script is called for

are you against mixing media, printing and / or handmade papers? is 'shabby chic' too much?

have you seen seed paper? http://www.botanicalpaperworks.com/

pressed flower maybe? http://www.custompaper.com/pressed_flower_invitation

You seem pretty artistic to me, Manny.

How about 200 of these birds (2 for each card):

I lot of times folks put something about RSVP and where to RSVP to.

A little nit but I generally like it better when the numbers are spelled out

My suggestion - include "THE MANNY tm", you know you want to.

Seriously, though, I agree with terminal- putting on an email address or phone number where guests can RSVP would be all I would add, that makes things far easier for your guests.

Reception to follow? Really!

Is it not more appropriate to say: Joyful Celebration or Festivities to follow?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
