For the sake of conversation, I'd rank them Pearlette, 76, Pearl from first to third.

I think we have finally found the variation that would be a deal breaker for me. I don't do clipless pens. The only one I own is a Kaweco, and I keep meaning to pick up an accommodation clip for it. It drives me nuts. I am flexible on model and would definitely think of buying any of these three. I am flexible about materials to a point. I'm flexible about filling system. No clip would drive me batty.

I agree with you. I need a clip on my pens. I hope one of them with a clip wins. A pen without a clip looks unfinished to me.

Looks like cc filler easily won.

And acrylic for the type of material.

The fact that we might be looking at the Pearlette also says C/C because the last thing I saw from Brian G about the Pearlette seemed to suggest it might not even work as a bulb filler just based on the necessary dimensions to get proper filling.

That is a good point. If a Pearlette, it has to be cc. But cc was the overwhelming choice anyhow.

How about we run this through next Sunday and only then look at the acrylic colors. I know that different pen models look better with different colors/styles. Or would that drag this out too long? Ideas?

That should give you time to speak with Brian to get his input including input about what type of materials options are viable in a group buy type of pen.

Can we vote for more than one?

I ask because I'd be willing to do any one of three of these six choices. So having to vote for just one is kind of ... random for me.

The Pearl is an awesome pen. I've had two. Regret selling the first, so I bought a second. I wouldn't mind buying a third. They feel great.

While I'd do any of these models, I would have to rank them (all with clip):

#76
Pearl
Pearlette

It looks like this is starting to come together nicely.

Yup, if we can hold enough peoples interest as we narrow down the choices, have enough people participate in the actual buy it will be great.

i went with the pearl w/ clip. i love the streamline look of the pearl (and pearlette for that matter) compared to the way the cap fits on to the 76. i have never owned a clipless pen, but i am not totally turned off to the idea either...

Somewhat dilutes the purpose, it seems, of having the final top three go head to head to test the strength of the obvious winner in the mass poll, which was and probably will be again the winner, the Pearl with a clip of course. Tossing in the clipless into the final round is like having a presidential election with a republican, a democrat, Ross Perot, Ron Paul, Alan Keyes, Ralph Nader and Pat Buchanan. With this much of a split vote, surely the prior popular vote, the Pearl with a clip of course will win.

Now see...with it's semi-transparency, that screams bulb-filler. Alright. Delusion off. I'll resign myself to the bulb happening as my own buy down the line.

I'm excited to see how all of this turns out. Actually, that tortoise would work beautifully as an eye dropper, as well.

I voted for the #76 and Pearl, both with clips. I was hoping more people would be interested in the #76, but I can be happy with a Pearl. I don't like to post my pens, so the Pearlette would be too small for me.

Honest question... why would anyone want a pen without a clip? Is it a style thing or is there something functional about not having a clip?

I don't keep my pens clipped to anything or any item of clothing, so I see no reason for a clip, especially on a pen that looks as clean as the Pearl. To my eyes a clip would spoil the lines.

The other reason a clip is good is to prevent rolling (not that I'm trying to persuade the non-clip people -- I'm thrilled to have a hobby broad enough to provide for us all).
