Hello all. I guess I've been kinda holding out on this, as I really like to take the 'artistic drive' wherever I wants to go, but on the other hand, I also really like making pens that people love. So, I'll throw my post in here as well.

1 - Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

2 - Work: Custom 'kitless' pens, primarily in acrylic resin and poly resin. I will do occasional kit pen work. I prefer making clipless pens as my focus is on the form and shape of the pen, and I find the clip detracts from that. Having said that, I certainly do pens with clips as well.

3 - Writing Instruments: Mostly custom Fountain Pens (cart/converter), though occasionally will do rollerball/ballpoint if I am doing a kit.

4 - Materials used: Currently focusing on acrylic resins and polyresin. Also do some work with exotic woods.

5 - Galleries:

For Kit-based Fountain Pens: http://s221.photobuc... Fountain Pens/

For Kit-based ballpoint and rollerball pens: http://s221.photobuc...ollerball Pens/

Here's a few samples:

Hello out there,
Yes, I do pens on order:

1. Located in Croatia.

2. No Kitting. Totally Custom.

3. Fountain pens mainly, but I can make Rollerball, Ball Point, Pencil.

4. Cartridges and piston converters for now, currently making an eye droper.

5. Prefer a brass and aluminum in combination with wood. My pens are not shining, an have no overlay, and are indestructible.

6. Because I make a complete pen, I can create to your desire or design.

7. The price for these pens are around a 90 euros (with steel nib...).

I'd be happy to consult with someone for a commissioned piece.

Location: South Carolina, USA (I will ship internationally)
Type of Work: Kit, Modified Kit, and Fully Custom.
Writing Instruments: Rollerball, Ballpoint, and Fountain pens.
Materials: Woods of the world, Ebonite, Bone & Antler, Mixed Media, and Resins. I make my own resin blanks and can fully design them to suit each project to match my clients needs.

  • USA, Ohio
  • A lot of kits, some modified, and a few, nearly-full custom (i.e., minimal metal: couplers, etc.)
  • Fountain pens, rollerballs, very few ballpoint
  • Acrylic, some celluloid, some metals, soft stone: alabaster, soapstone, antler, cast-resin
  • Pensafari.com
  • fountain pen cartridges/pistons, and starting to work on sac fill mechanisms now

I have been moving towards completely custom pens, but still rely on couplers, feeds, etc vs. completely crafting all sections + threads (vs. custom body, threading, etc.). As of Jan 2012, I am working the non-kit pens in the larger, lighter body sizes -- consistent with the El Grande/Churchill size.

I believe I am the only one who has been making and selling Alabaster fountain pens

I just found North View Crafts
By
Martin & Kay England at

http://www.northviewcrafts.co.uk I went round to buy a second hand washing machine and was surprised to find he makes pens, and fountain pens from wood, deer antler and bullets. His specialty appears to be whisky casks such as the local poison "Old Pultney Town".

If you do get in touch with him be sure to say hi from Eoghan!

Thank you for your kind words and link to our site www.northviewcrafts.co.uk
You will need to call round next time you are passing.
Lots of new materials we are working with now, we even have a Titanic Fountain pen and more H.M.S Victory Pens
Thank you again
Martin

Looks like I'm a little late for the party but better late than never! I have been making custom pens for several years and have made pens on request on several occasions. One thing that appeals to my customers is that I custom blend my resins and can match virtually any color.

Here are some particulars:

I am located in Show Low, Arizona and I spent several years assembling kit pens and while I don't make them anymore, I can upon request. My passion is making my own line of fountain pens with the occasional rollerball pen. I make everything from scratch except the nibs and feeds. I love working with silver and my more recent pens include a nice mix of silver embellishments. I generally make pens that use cartridges or converters but have made button fillers, button fillers and can make just about anything one wants. I have a nice collection of exotic woods as well as acrylic, cebloplast, ebonite and trustone materials.

To see the type of work I do, please visit my website: Arizonapenco.com

George Butcher

I'm looking for someone in the 'States who can make me a replacement section for a pen out of ebonite.

If you can offer this service please PM me.

Thanks
I'd rather spend my money on pens instead of shoes and handbags.

A word about me

I started making pens in 1998 as Christmas gifts. Gradually as my skills and interest in the craft grew, I sold kit pens on eBay. Today I make and sell only custom pens, about 75 to 100 a year.

I have a special love for fountain pen design, in particular those made from resins like acrylic, ebonite, cebloplast, and celluloid. I create custom fountain pens in the traditional forms, as well as some bold contemporary designs.

I'm from the US and live in Houston, Texas.I started making pens as a hobby several years ago. I primarily enjoyed showing them on the forum and giving them as gifts. A few people recently offered to buy some of my pens and I sold them..was a great feeling. I enjoy making custom fountain pens out of Italian resins, Mazzuccelli cebloplast, ebonite, mosaic acrylics and other materials.
Below are a few of the pens I've made. If you are interested..look at my member profile and send a message.

I don't have a fancy business name because I've never gotten into the "selling pens" scene. It's always been just a hobby for me. But I'm based in the Salt Lake area in Utah, US. If anyone wants me to make them a pen, I'd be happy to.

General Location: Utah, Salt Lake City area.
Type of work: Kit, Modified kit. Will be looking into doing custom work soon. Sounds like fun :D
Range of writing instruments: Fountain pens, rollerball pens, ballpoint pens
Range of materials worked: Wood, acryllic, cellulose, all those "fake" plasticky blanks, really. I prefer wood.
Gallery address/Home page: Don't have one

I guess I've never posted here for whatever reason, but I'm available too :)

I'm located in California, USA, but ship pens worldwide.  I make custom fountain pens using JoWo nibs and feeds.  I'll work in any common pen making material, but I pour my own resin, so most people seem to want that.  Since I make the resin, you can start by picking whatever color or combination of colors you would like, and we'll go from there.

I make the following filling systems:  Cartridge/Converter, Bulb Fillers, Button Fillers, Piston Fillers
