How does one go about purchasing a piston kit to fix a first gen. pen? where can I send the money? I really would like to have a non leaky pen....

I am pretty sure if you reported leaking, you will get one free of charge.

Count me in for a smoke/grey/black color. I would definitely get one if available in one of those colors.

+1 for solid black. even better if a matte black version!! WOOT!!

+1 for solid black, too. Or solid dark blue.

Also, how would I go about ordering one from Europe?

I would really really like demonstrators with colored swirls reminiscent of ink coming out of a nib in a shot glass.....BUT I am most interested in the Ti Flex nibs!

speedy, Imgur is the simplest and best way to host your images on the internet (no affiliation).

Really looking forward to seeing what some people around here can do with those flex nibs :) .

I gotta disagree.

Three months and no views and they remove your images automatically? Bluh.

You can get a free account really quickly, and then they never remove your images. Plus the creator maintains it based on the voice of an online community (Reddit), much like TWSBI.

My "vote" is for the darker blue. The new nibs are...great. Great. I have one of the Originals, with a small dab of ink that has leaked around the piston, but that doesn't stop the first TWSBI from being a terrific pen.

Can't wait to buy the next generation. I think the market is yours, Speedy & Friends!

:puddle::puddle::puddle: All I can say is stop teasing us and get a move on! I'll take one in every color. And please offer more nib types this time. Flex is great,

but throw in some broad and italics as well. And that ink bottle is to die for!

Okay, I have "de-lurk" for just a minute. Speedy, you are the man!

Here's one more vote for a grey or smoke color body. The grey would look very cool with the titanium nib.

Thanks for listening to all the random ideas from all of us with a passion for pens! It's fun to be a part of your creative process.

Oh, and I'll be buying several pens as soon as the 1.5 pistons are ready for production.

I know mate.....I know.....we just have to be patient.....I know it's difficult.....you might try a couple of things already mentioned....

Take it apart and clean it best you can....a tiny smear of that silicon grease on both the piston seals and reassemble......if you can fill it with a syringe.......then do it that way....I didn't have one...... but, it doesn't seem to be leaking....yet........

Speedy will look after us as soon as he has a fix I'm sure

About the solid colors pen, one big question

Do you guys mind this pen has no ink window? If no ink window is fine, then in very short time we can have tho pen (because I just need to add more color pigment into the barrel during molding).

If ink window is necessary, then big problem, we need to make new two color molding barrel mold; I know this will take much longer time.

How about pen with no ink window first, then take time working on new two color mold???? Good idea! right?:roflmho:

Having the solid color to start and then the ink window as an option later on sounds good. The window would be like an option you can choose to build the TWSBI to your personal specs. Very attractive idea. I think so anyways.

Best,

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
