Greetings! I will be in Portland, Oregon in order to give two presentations at a conference next week. I was wondering if anyone knows of a must-visit pen shop or stationery store (hopefully, one that sells pens as well as stationery) in Portland. I checked the http://www.penshops.info site but no pen shops were listed for Oregon. When I googled pen shops in Portland, Oregon, I found Paradise Pens.

I figured that it would not hurt to ask since I will need a stretch-my-legs destination for my arrival day prior to the beginning of the conference especially after flying coast-to-coast and for killing time since hotel check-in is not until 4 PM (of course, I hope that I will be able to check in early).

Thanks, in advance! smile.gif

Pioneer Pen is about it too, unless you are in town long enough for a get-together with some of the locals, of which we are quite a few.

I wanted to thank you both for the helpful information. I enjoyed my visit to Paradise Pen. It was a wonderful destination after my hotel check-in: I desperately needed to stretch my legs after my two flights (plus delays) and the walk from the hotel to Paradise Pen at Pioneer Place was perfect. It was nice to visit the pens (pen-visits are always great!), and I had a nice discussion of pens, refills, and eBay. My only disappointment was that it was not a good day for buying refills, especially the new Monteverde refills (Parker-style refills, for Waterman ballpoints, and for Montblanc pens); the only type that I succeeding on purchasing was the Montblanc blue broad ballpoint refill.

Thank you, again, for your kindness. :)
