One of the first pens made by Osmia with the original Bohler imprint on the barrel, this black hard rubber safety model 1K was made about 1920 and is in excellent condition.
The smooth black hard rubber is unfaded and the barrel imprint (“Original Bohler DR GM”) is crisp as is the cap imprint (“Osmia”) still with the white filler. The end of the barrel has crisp imprints white filled imprints for the model (“1K”) and nib (“M”). The white casein Osmia logo on the cap top is unfazed and has good colour still. The safety mechanism works well as do the seals. The medium nib flexes with the lightest pressure and is a delightfully expressive writer.
Closed the pen is 12cm and when the cap is posted, nearly 18cm.
Condition: Excellent, both cosmetically and mechanically. A rare pen to find in this condition.
