Hi all,
Here's an interesting group of pens from Japan covering several decades, choice of materials and styles:
1.     Pilot G series from the 1960s. Very nice 14K fine nib, uses Pilot cartridges, $100
2.     Pilot capless 1970s in the matt aluminum finish. In my opinion perhaps the nicest capless ever made! Lightweight, streamlined and made out of a tough material. This one is still with the original sticker, one of the most desirable and hard to find capless. 14k fine nib, some light desk traces, $275, NOW $250
3.     Pilot Elite from the 1970s with a hard to find 14K Manifold nib. This nib is a little broader than a fine but not a medium. I have a couple on other pens and write really well. This one is NOS still with the sticker. Uses Pilot cartridges/converter. The cap has a nice thick gold plating, $180, NOW $150
4.     1980s Pilot designed by Loris Azzaro. I don’t know the story of this collaboration as it’s the first time I see this pen. It NOS still with the original price tag. Nice pattern on the body, 14k fine nib, $100
5.     Pilot Custom, stainless steel with black stripes. A classic Pilot from the 70s. 14K white gold Fine nib, datecode December 1979. $110   SOLD
6.     Pilot Custom stainless steel in a lattice etched black pattern. This has a 14k gold nib, dated February 1978. Still with the original price tag, $150  SOLD
7.     1970s Sailor , stainless steel with black stripes. Nice writer, 18K white gold nib, some traces of use on clip and bottom of the pen. Uses Sailor cartridges/converter, $100  SOLD
8.     1970s Pilot in an unusual silver-plated chased pattern. This is unused, still with the original price tag. 18K Fine nib, works with Pilot cartridges and converters. This pen has a clear lacquer over the sterling and there are a couple of spots under the lacquer, but the pen is unused, $160, NOW $140
9.  1980s Pilot, silver plated with lacquer on it. I think the base is brass. Fine, 14K gold nib. $100
10. Platinum Bonita, 1970s in a metallic burgundy finish. Fine 14K gold nib, $80, NOW $50
11. Platinum BelAge 1980s, Fine gold plated nib, initials M.H. engraved on the section, $50
12. Pilot Elabo, 1980s in maple wood> it appears unused but has a crack above the section. The crack is stabilized and won’t split further. Nice 14k gold fine nib, $50   SOLD
13. Pilot Super 50G, 50s-60s. Fine gold plated nib, comes with the squeeze converter, $50
14. Pilot Super 70V, 50s-60s. Fine gold plated nib, uses Pilot cartridges. Still has the original sticker, $60
15. Matsuzakaya, 1930s, lever filler in ebonite and black urushi. This is a beautiful 90 year old fountain pen, most likely made by Pilot for the famous Matsuzakaya department store. This dept store is still in business and very prestigious. It has a 14K gold size 2 nib, a lot of flex from these old nibs. It’s marked Matsuzakaya. I have cleaned the pen and it’s ready for a new ink sac in order to work. $250, NOW $220
16. Pilot 53R, 1950s, the workhorse of Pilot at that time.  Nice lever filler pen, ebonite with black urushi, great condition, 14k size 3 flexible nib, needs a new ink sac intalled , $180  SOLD
17. Large 1950s lever filler in ebonite and black urushi. No other markings on the pen, R14K clip and cap band is showing some pitting. The rest of the pen is in great condition and has a brand new ink sac installed.  Rigid medium/fine gold nib, $200, NOW $150
18. 1930s eyedropper in ebonite and red urushi. No maker markings on the pens. Nice balance shape and overall good condition. It has an unusual and intricate cap band. 14k gold fine nib with good flex. The pen will need new seals, $330, NOW $300
19. 1930s eyedropper with a grape vine leaves  maki-e design over black urushi.. The cap band.is solid 14K gold and had some damage to it.  14k gold fine nib with good flex. The pen will need new seals, $350, NOW $300
