Condition (n.b.): All pens listed below have been disassembled, cleaned and restored with new sacs installed in the last month. Each is guaranteed to fill and write as designed without leaks or other issues. These pens have no cracks, chips, personal engravings, missing parts, bent nibs, misaligned tines, or threading issues.

5. 1940s Eversharp Skyline (Marine Green, GF cap, polystyrene, GPT, lever filler, 14k B Super-flex nib). A full-sized model, measuring 5.2" capped. Marine Green color (more of a dark forest green) with cap marked 1/10 14k YGF (yellow gold filled). This Skyline comes equipped with a Super-flexible 14k Eversharp nib, but it's wider than is #4's. This one lays down a buttery smooth and consistent B line that widens to a BBB+ under light pressure (see writing sample). If you like a nib with juicy flow, you'll gush over this paintbrush. Condition: excellent. No brassing, dents or dings to the cap. Plastic exhibits a smooth, lustrous finish aside from some pin-sized marks here and there. No brassing to the trim except for the typical slivers on the edges in the middle of the lever where the cap has been posted. No other notable flaws.

6. 1930s-40s Eversharp Oxford (green pearl and black spiral, GPT, lever filler, 14k XF Wet Noodle nib). Here's a pen you don't see very often. W-E's Oxford was a budget model offered in several standard marbled colors. But there were some, like this one, that crop up infrequently in astounding patterns and colors. Stamped Oxford on the clip and barrel, this pen is made of bright green, wrapped celluloid with a striking black spiral pattern (the stripes were not designed to converge). It shares the same shape as another uncommon model: the Vacuum Filler, or so-called "Round Doric," but its clip is unmistakably that of an Oxford. Like many later Oxfords, this one came from the factory with a stainless steel Select-O-Point nib. The nib was badly mangled, so I replaced it with the most flexible 14k Warranted nib in my parts bin. The nib is a Wet Noodle in no uncertain terms: much softer than any of the others in this batch as it flexes wider under the slightest amount of pressure. It lays down a smooth, if slightly toothy XF line that effortessly widens to a BBB+ (see [writing sample](https://imgur.com/LFoXxr6)). Perfect for calligraphic writing styles such as Copperplate and Spencerian. I did, however, have to moderate my pressure a bit for the writing sample because I was getting inconsistent flow when I tried to go for a line any wider than is represented in the sample. As long as one slows down and stays in that range of width, the flow is consistent. But the feed has some trouble keeping up if you press the nib any wider. Some experimentation with different inks could yield better results here. Condition: excellent-. Trim is better than most but shows some wear to the center of the lever, sides of the clip ball, and one side of the cap band. Plating on most of thee clip is present but a little rough. Celluloid exhibits smooth, lustrous finish with some wear to the barrel imprint, which is still legible under bright light. No other noteworthy issues. A fetching pen that doesn't come up for sale too often, especially with such a killer nib.

7. 1930s Wahl-Eversharp Bantam Set (Topaz Pearl celluloid, GPT, bulb filler, 14k F Flexible nib). Measuring 3.8" capped and 4.6" capped, the Bantam was touted by Wahl-Eversharp as "The Big Little Pen." Indeed, it bears many aesthetic affinities to their larger Doric line of pens. This is the most attractive Bantam celluloid pattern in my opinion: brown marble interspersed with ribbon-like grey-blue veins and a transparent, brown-hatched/shell barrel resembling that of the 2nd-gen plunger filler Dorics. Unlike most Bantams, which were lever fillers, this pen is a bulb filler – super simple to operate and service. One fills it by unscrewing the blindcap and simply squeezing the sac underneath until one can see the transparent barrel is full of ink. Matching mechanical pencil is included, but I believe it to be jammed, so assume it's not functional. The pen, however, was recently restored and fills and writes as designed. The 14k nib in this pen is stamped with a 0: the smallest size W-E produced. It lays down a smooth and consistent, F line that widens to a BB+ under moderate pressure (see writing sample). Condition: excellent. I see no brassing to the gold-plated trim, but there is some minor corrosion on the edges of the clips and a spot on the nose cone of the pencil. Pen has crystal clear transparency (see detail photo). Smooth, lustrous finish to the celluloid with no significant blemishes and fully legible imprints on the barrels.
